Rapunzel

Final piece for my Fine Art drawing workshop. Mixed media drawing created using charcoal, chalk, watercolour, tea-staining, thread and lace.

Let down your hair


Continuing to develop my Rapunzel character I experimented with the form of her flowing thick cascading locks, enveloping the figure with her intricate hair to create a provocative, sensual image.

Lace Windows


Feedback from my stab-in-the-back drawing inspired me to create a Rapunzel character. I experimented with lace to form a decorative window frame, using tea-staining to create an aged appearance symbolising the passing of time as she awaits rescue within her tower prison.
